Jack and Me!

As I originally mentioned in March of this year, it may not sound glamorous, but making sure your relationships are workable is not only essential to having great relationships, it is what makes it possible to have fun and excitement!

Being interviewed by Jack Canfield at his estate in Santa Barbara. Truly an amazing and wonderful man–so giving of himself and his knowledge. So willing to help others.

Last week I had the good fortune and great pleasure of spending time with Jack Canfield, best-selling co-author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul mega-series of books (with over $500 million copies sold worldwide). This two-day mastermind retreat attracted entrepreneurs, life coaches, authors, public speakers, dynamic individuals. While each had his or her area of success and expertise, the one thing that all of us had in common was the desire and passion to help people improve their lives and the willingness to do the work necessary to make that actually happen.

Many of those attending brought their spouses and significant others to share in the experience; or more specifically, to know how best to support their partners in pursuing their individual goals. Though Charley was not with me–just too much of a workload–he had accompanied me to a marketing and PR event in Philadelphia last year for that exact purpose. Our being on the same page has been a significant factor in how we’ve managed to accomplish personal as well as collective goals. It’s really exponential, what can be done when both of us have our collective eyes on the prize!

And as for the “fun” and “exciting” part, it’s like mastering a musical instrument or art form or getting good at anything about which you are passionate. When you learn the basics, you can then improvise and explore the endless possibilities!
